Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic

DUE TO OUR CURRENT STAFFING SITUATION, WE WILL NOT BE HOLDING ANY SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

- - - - -

Spaying (female) and neutering (male) is important to your pet’s health, with benefits including improved behavior, elimination of unwanted pregnancies and neglected pets, and decreased risk for certain cancers and infections. Due to an increase in demand for lower cost routine spays and neuters, we have invested resources to initiate a higher volume, low cost, spay/ neuter clinic at Animal Doctor. This service will be offered on Wednesdays, by appointment. Your pet must have proof of vaccination. Dogs must be healthy, younger than seven years of age, and under 100 pounds. If we determine that the procedure is not routine (cryptorchid, hernia), we will call you and either reschedule or discuss any change in cost. Dog neuters over 100 pounds will be accepted on a case by case basis.

How much will it cost?
The base price for surgery will be as follows:

* These prices include pain medications and an E-collar.

What will happen the day of surgery?

We ask that you withhold food after 10pm the night before surgery. Please drop your pet off at Animal Doctor between 7:30 and 8:00am the morning of surgery. Your pet will be able to go home between 3:00 and 5:30pm that same day. Your pet may be more tired that evening, or have a decreased appetite. Please keep your pet quiet for a week to allow them to heal properly. All closures will be made internally with absorbable suture material, so no follow up is required.
