Your Visit to Animal Doctor Blue Hills

Animal Doctor Blue Hills is located at 2313 Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan, KS. We are next door to the Dollar General, Dara's gas station, and La Fiesta in the Blue Hills shopping center. To access our parking, there are two entrances. One access point is turning onto Kimball Ave and entering by the Cenex gas station and the other access point is for those traveling north on Tuttle Creek Blvd as shown by the green arrows. Parking is anywhere in the red boxes; in front of the building. Our front entrance is the door with the Animal Doctor logo covering the window. After entering this door, you will then enter the door directly ahead.

You can access the facility through the door with our logo covering the window. You will then enter another set of doors directly ahead to officially enter our facility. When entering our facility, turn left to check-in at our receptionist desk. If someone is currently being processed, you may turn to the right and take a seat in our waiting room until one of our staff members can assist you. Please be sure to have your pet either on a leash or in your arms when entering the facility!

After checking in with our reception team, a knowledgeable technician will take you to one of three exam rooms, stopping to weigh your pet on our large scale if your pup weighs more than 20 pounds. Once in the exam room, if your pet weighs less than 20 pounds, they are placed on a smaller scale for a more accurate weight. The technician will then begin by asking you some general questions about your pet’s health history and discuss recommended testing and preventative treatments (vaccinations, heartworm testing, fecal testing, for example). You can also address any questions concerning your pet’s health at this time. Once this is completed, the technician will check your pet’s heart and respiratory rate and temperature. They may also collect any needed samples at this time (stool, blood). The doctor then performs a complete examination from head to toe, and performs needed vaccinations and other treatments. The doctor will also address any concerns or questions you may have and your pet will receive a complimentary nail trim if desired. After the examination, our team will dispense any preventative or other medications you need (heartworm, flea and tick, Oravet Chews) and check you out in the exam room. As payment we accept all credit cards, care credit, and cash.

   After your examination, our team will begin the check-out process in the exam rooms. By visiting our facility, you will be given access to our online pet portal. There, you can check your pet's medical records, vaccine history, and schedule future appointments. To access your pet portal, CLICK HERE. After payment, you are now good to go!
