Our entire team is committed to gentle handling and a fear free experience. Before your appointment, our reception team will text or email you a questionnaire and welcome sheet, to speed up the check in process. When you arrive, you will be escorted into an exam room quickly to decrease potential stressful interactions. We have rugs on the floor in the lobby as well as in each exam room to make your pet feel more secure when walking and standing. There is soft music playing in each room to decrease outside noise to put your pet at ease. To encourage a positive visit, we use lots of tasty snacks such as soft treats, cheese, hot dogs, whipped cream, and licky mats with yummy spray cheese, liver or peanut butter. We finish the appointment by checking out in the exam room to avoid any wait time in the lobby with other pets. Welcome to Animal Doctor Blue Hills!

 Adopting a new puppy or kitten is a wonderful experience, and we want to be a part of it! From the first visit, we want your newest addition to feel confident and comfortable with us. This means we feed your puppy and kitten tasty treats and snacks from the moment they arrive (and throughout each appointment). Every kitten and puppy goes home with a puppy/kitten kit which includes a free sample of Science Diet Kitten or Puppy Food, a food measuring cup and magnet, training tips, and vaccine/spay/neuter information. On your first visit your puppy or kitten will receive a free first dose of Nexgard Plus and Nexgard Combo (monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative). We want your pet to be as excited to see us as we are to see them! We enjoy happy visits, where your pet can walk through the clinic, receive treats and pets from our team members, and have good experiences
(no pokes or treatments). This can help decrease future fears and anxiety. If your puppy needs grooming, Allison, our wonderful groomer, provides stress free grooming, only doing what your pup is comfortable with, and giving lots of breaks.
