Our Animal Doctor Junction City Team

Jenni, Office Manager

Jenni is a Junction City native. She joined the Animal Doctor team in 2004 and has worked her way through many positions at Animal Doctor, to her current position as office manager. Jenni keeps everything running smoothly in reception, and she is one of the friendly knowledgeable faces you see when you visit our clinic. When Jenni isn't working, she dedicates her time to her son Jackson, and her four legged family members, three dogs (Kardee B, Murphy, and Dino), and two cats (Achilles and Figaro).

Roxanne, Receptionist

Roxanne was born in San Diego, CA and moved to Junction City as a teen. In August of 2011, Jenni introduced her to Animal Doctor and we've been lucky to have her ever since! Roxanne is a skilled, friendly receptionist and will be one of the first points of contact to help you arrange your visit. In her spare time, Roxanne enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children, husband, nephews, and fur babies.

Christina, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Christina grew up in Junction City. She has always wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Christina began working at Animal Doctor in April, 2017 as a kennel technician, where she excelled. She was promoted to veterinary assistant and receptionist, and can be found lending a hand throughout the building. Christina and her husband have four children who keep them on their toes, especially during soccer and basketball season. Christina enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and spending quality time at home with her family and 4 cats.

Trista, Veterinary Assistant

Trista Hester originates from Pensacola, Florida. She has been a part of the veterinary scene since the age of 16, working as a kennel attendant, then moving up the ladder. She has 2 daughters, Abbriella and Audrey. Her favorite pastimes are hiking, swimming, bowling, and anything with her family!

Luisana (Lucy), Veterinary Technician

Lucy was raised in California. She spent 6 years in the Army as a Black Hawk mechanic, which is where she met her husband. Lucy has a veterinary technician degree and has spent approximately 3 years in the veterinary field. She and her husband have 2 wonderful dogs, Julie and Daisy. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys fishing, consuming too much caffeine, and ordering things online.

Sandra, Veterinary Assistant

Sandra originates from Chicago (Go Cubs!), and moved to Kansas from Hawaii four years ago. She is currently attending classes online for veterinary nursing. When she is not working, she's hanging out with her 12 year old son Aiden and their fur babies, all 7 of them!

Shelia, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Sheila and I have loved working with animals for as long as I can remember. It started when I moved to Kansas when I was 7 and we had numerous barn cats. Then I volunteered at the original Animal Doctor location when I was in high school. I started my first job as a kennel tech, and then worked at an animal shelter and now I work here at Animal Doctor. A little about me is that I have two cats named Goddess and Oliver and I am also on a bowling league. I am currently working on my medical laboratory science degree and hope to graduate by next winter.

Kirsten, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Kirsten and I recently started veterinary technician school. I was raised around animals and started working with them right out of high school about 5 years ago. I had 4 horses as a kid, 3 dogs and a cat! Now, it is just me and my German Shepherd Bailey. I am Fear Free Certified and I got the opportunity to start working at Animal Doctor in November 2022 and I have loved it!

Marissa, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Marissa and I live in Junction City, KS. My hobbies include reading, writing, art, and music. I also enjoy spending as much time as I can being around animals of all kinds.

Carissa, Professional Groomer

Carissa has worked at Animal Doctor for eight years. She started her grooming career when she moved from Missouri 10 years ago. She has a BFA in photography and loves using her artistic eye on anything creative.

Crook & Chase, Clinic Cats

The friendly furry faces that greet you at Animal Doctor are Crook and Chase. These two pranksters may look similar, but they have very distinct personalities. Crook is the “evil twin” and is so named after the crook in his tail from previous trauma. Chase is his sweet, mischievous, more svelte brother. Crook and Chase were adopted by the Animal Doctor family in 2008 as sick kittens that stole a place in our hearts. You can often see them hard at work around the clinic!
